For the 2026 City of Kitchener municipal election, here are the key dates and procedures. No matter who you vote for, I want you to be informed and ready to practice your civic right.

Voting places are open 10 am to 8 pm

Ward 6 residents can vote at any of the three Ward 6 voting locations on Election Day City of Kitchener:

• Country Hills Community Centre
  100 Rittenhouse Road

Advance Voting

You do not have to wait until October 26

Kitchener provides advance voting opportunities where eligible voters can vote regardless of which ward they live in City of Kitchener.

October 13 to October 15.

What You Need To Vote

Eligible voters should bring identification showing their name and current address.

A voter notification card is helpful but you can still vote if you did not receive one, provided you have acceptable identification City of Kitchener.

To be eligible, you must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old and meet Kitchener's residency or property ownership requirements on October 26, 2026 City of Kitchener.

Accessibility Options

Kitchener provides several accessibility supports, including assistance from an election worker, the ability to bring a support person, magnifying sheets, interpretation services by phone and accessible ballot marking equipment where available.

Service animals are always welcome at voting locations in the City of Kitchener.
